Electronic loudspeaker systems
The aim of modern electro-acoustic systems is to use public address systems to evacuate danger zones as quickly as possibly via the dedicated emergency escape routes.
Electro-acoustic (ELA) systems must comply with the standard DIN/EN 60849 if they are to be used in conjunction with alarm systems for this purpose. This standard also states that they may be used for background sound purposes.
These systems have already shown on many occasions that, if a dangerous situation arises, people can be evacuated from a building without panicking if they receive clear instructions.
