TECHNOLOGY
The KMP A 3-12 switchgear equipment consists of multipartitioned switch fields. The walls and partitions form a self-supporting construction and are mounted to a base frame for more
stability. The field interior is subdivided into several functional partition segments:
Busbar compartment,
Switchgear compartment,
Terminal compartment,
Low-voltage equipment compartment.
These compartments are partitioned by vertical and horizontal steel-sheet panels and are separated from each other in a faultarc-proof manner.
The partitions are attached to side walls, which provide additional stability. All high-voltage carrying compartments are provided with explosion vents in the upper area, which are sealed with divided caps. The caps are fastened with securing bolts that prevent accidental openings. In case of an arc fault, these will tear off and ensure pressure release.
