Vertical Conveyors
are characterised by the following features:

The vertical conveyor is designed as a sturdy welded construction in a portal layout. The basic frame consists of two sturdy vertical steel profiles which also act as the guide rails. The lifting frame is guided on Vulkollan wheels over these rails. A chain conveyor is mounted on the extension arms of the lifting frame. The lift drive, which is provided via a frequency controlled geared motor, is located on the top of the lifting frame and drives two lifting chains via a counter shaft. The chains run around continuously and are solidly attached to both the lifting frame and the counter weight. A counter weight is installed in order to reduce the motor power. The weight has a mass of 50% of the theoretical load capacity and assists the lifting drive accordingly. Every stopping point is equipped with corresponding pairs of initiators which define the deceleration and/or the stopping point. The upper and lower end positions are also monitored via limit switches. The chain tension of each chain is monitored via an initiator.
The entire vertical conveyor is covered with protective gratings on all sides. Only the inlet and outlet openings are left open according to the pallet size and spacing. The vertical conveyor is also equipped with light barriers for the personal safety of operating personnel.
We use our vertical conveyors to bridge height differences between conveyors on different levels. They can be equipped with different conveying devices on the lifting frame: e.g. a chain conveyor, roller conveyor, rotary device or similar.
